Baked Pork Chops with White Wine Sauce

Baked Pork Chop with White Wine Sauce

Ingredients

4 pork chops
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
1 egg, beaten
1/3 cup all-purpose flour
1 cups Italian-style seasoned bread crumbs
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon flour
1 tablespoon butter
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup white wine

Directions

1.  Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2.  Rinse pork chops, pat dry and pound it with meat hammer.
3.  Season with garlic powder and seasoning salt to taste.
4.  Place the beaten eggs in a small bowl. Dredge the pork chops lightly in flour, dip in the egg, and coat liberally with bread crumbs.
5.  Heat the oil in a medium skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the pork chops 5 minutes per side, or until the breading appears well browned. Transfer the chops to a 9x13 inch baking dish, and cover with foil.
6.  Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour.

7.  While baking, melt butter in a skillet.  Sprinkle in flour, mix and avoid flour lumps.
8.  Add in milk, stir and mix well.
9.  Add in white wine and continue to stir and bring to boil. Turn off the fire.

10.  After baking the pork chop for 1 hour, cover them with the white wine sauce.  Replace foil and bake for another 30 minutes.
