Sweet Dinner Rolls

Sweet bread rolls

For 8 rolls

Ingredients

1/4 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
1/4 cup warm milk
1/2 egg
2 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons butter, softened
2 tablespoons and 2 teaspoons white sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1-3/4 cups and 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 (0.25 ounce) package active dry yeast

2 tablespoons butter, softened (for spreading on dough)


Directions

1.      Place water, milk, egg, butter, sugar, salt, flour and yeast in the pan of the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer.  Start kneading cycle.
2.      After kneading, start first rising cycle for about 1 hour or double the dough size.
3.      When cycle finishes, turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface.  Roll the dough into a 12 inch circle.  Spread softened butter over entire round.  Cut the circle into 8 wedges.
4.      Roll each wedge starting at wide end; roll gently but tightly. Place point side down on ungreased cookie sheet.  
5.      Cover with clean kitchen towel and put in a warm place.  Let rise for another 1/2 to 1 hour until dought doubles.  Meanwhile, preheat oven to 360 degrees F (180 degrees C).
6.      Bake in preheated oven for 10 to 15 minutes, until golden.
